As part of their large cement capacity expansion program, UltraTech Cement celebrated groundbreaking of the second Cuttack grinding unit (photo) in Bhubaneswa, Odisha in India. The Cuttack GU expansion requires an investment of Rs 372 Crore (about US$ 42.2m) and will expand the plant capacity to 6.0 Mta from the present capacity of 3.0 Mta. The expansion project will generate several new jobs for the local community.
