Pakistan’s largest cement producer Lucky Cement has increased its cement capacity to 15.6 Mta. In a capacity enhancement project at the Karachi plant (photo) the capacity has been increased from 5.05 Mta to 5.35 Mta through process optimisation and modernisation of the existing production lines. Beside increasing the output, the project reduced the fossil fuel consumption and lowered the coal usage per ton of produced cement.
