Cemento Polpaico, which is part of Polpaico Soluciones, has commissioned a 9.9MW photovoltaic facility in Chile’s Santiago region. The facility, which is part of the largest private photovoltaic self-generation park in the country, has been installed on a 12-hectare site, the photovoltaic plant has a capacity of 9.9 MWp, 15,000 bifacial solar panels, and generates 20 GWh per year, equivalent to the consumption of 3,000 homes. This volume covers about 12% of the electricity consumption of Polpaico’s Cerro Blanco plant.
