Russia’s Chechen Cement, which has become a member of Soyuzcement, will replace its outdated wet kilns with a modern dry process line. The plant has been installed in 1973 in Chechnya in South Russia close to Georgia and operates after a modernization in 1991. The new dry processing line will have a capacity of 1.0 Mta and will cost about 20 billion rubels. A contract has been signed last year with JSC “EZTM” for the supply of equipment, including installation supervision and commissioning. Plant commissioning is expected within 2 years.
