Holcim has been selected for a grant from the EU Innovation Fund for its carbon capture and storage (CCS/CCUS) project in Martres-Tolosane (photo), France. This grant for the breakthrough CarboClearTech project in this cement plant brings the number of Holcim’s large-scale EU-supported CCUS projects to seven, advancing the European Green Deal. The EU Innovation Fund is one of the world’s largest funding programs for innovative technologies. This year, the Fund selected 85 large-scale clean-tech projects out of 337 submitted to receive grants totaling EUR 4.8 billion, including three projects in Holcim’s sector.
