The upgrade of the ‘green’ cement plant of Cementos PANAM, which is part of the ESTRELLA Group, located in El Coco in Dom. Rep. has been completed. The plant (photo) has been equipped with a modern VRM by Gebr. Pfeiffer with a capacity of 140-155 tph for cement grinding, which boosted the cement production to 1.2 Mta and the clinker production to 0.8 Mta. Existing ball mills from the plant installation in 2015 have been be replaced. The project has been awarded March 2023. Sinoma CBMI Latin America has been the general contractor for the plant upgrade.
