Cemex divests operations in the Dominican Republic

Cemex signed an agreement with Cementos Progreso for the sale of its operations in the Dominican Republic. The divested assets consist of one 2.6 Mta cement plant in San Pedro de Macorís, consisting of two integrated production lines and related cement, concrete, aggregates, marine terminal assets and export businesses to Haiti. The total consideration of the assets is approximately US$950 million. Cemex expects to finalize this transaction during the fourth quarter of 2024.
