Cemex Spain announced the shut-down of the kilns at its Lloseta cement factory on Mallorca, to align with the policies and ecological and energy transition objectives of the Balearic Islands, and according to Cemex’s “Future in Action” program. Consequently, the two cyclone towers at the Lloseta plant shall be dismantled by 31 December 2030, while cement grinding, storage, marketing and dispatch of bulk and bagged cement will continue. The adjacent Can Negret quarry in Alaró will continue to supply aggregates for the construction sector.
