Conch Cement doubled its cement capacity in Cambodia to 4.0 Mta, which is more than 36% of the countries capacity of 11.0 Mta. The first plant Battambang Conch Cement is operating since 2018, the second plant Phnom Penh Conch Cement has been inaugurated in Feb. this year (we reported here 27.02.25). The new US$ 250m facility (photo) is located in the Kampong Speu Province in the West of the Capital. The integrated complex features supporting infrastructure including cement grinding systems and waste heat recovery power generation. Utilizing advanced energy management systems and eco-friendly production techniques, the plant employs biomass fuels like rice husks and wood chips to minimize environmental impact.
