TITAN has signed a grant agreement with the EU Innovation Fund for their IFESTOS pioneering carbon capture project at the Kamari cement plant in Greece, following its selection in July (we reported). IFESTOS, an integral component of TITAN’s extensive decarbonization roadmap towards net zero by 2050, involves the construction of an innovative industrial-scale carbon capture facility at its flagship Kamari plant near Athens. Subject to permits and regulation, this project will capture 1.9 Mta of CO2, significantly contributing to Greece’s net zero roadmap. The plant will be operational before 2030 to produce up to 3.0 Mta zero-carbon cement.
