The new Leilac-2 location will be at the Ennigerloh cement plant of Heidelberg Materials in NRW in Germany. After the decision to shut-down the clinker production in the Hanover plant, where the original Leilac-2 project was already well advanced and the construction start was planned early this year, alternative sites had to be assessed. The design will now be deployed at the Ennigerloh cement plant (formerly Anneliese Zement), with minimal additional costs and little project delay expected (Calix illustration: Leilac-2 module at Ennigerloh plant). Targeted carbon capture capacity of the demonstration project is 0.1 Mta.
