Mexico’s Cemex pioneered at their R&D Center in Switzerland a creative alternative to traditional clinker grinding. The new micronization technology shall have the potential to reduce the clinker factor by up to 50%, in specific cement admixtures. Accordingly, with this development tremendous decarbonisation opportunities are possible, while the required strength development of cements can be maintained.
