Holcim’s new crushing and processing plant in Saint-Laurent-de Mŭre in France is a major step towards using construction demolition waste (CDW) such as concrete to its full value. Concrete roughly contains 85% aggregates and 15% cement paste. These materials are recycled for high-end applications in cement and concrete to scale up the ECOCyle solutions of Holcim and to lower the footprint of building solutions, while closing the material cycle.
