India’s Dalmia Bharat (DBL) has installed a new cement mill at its existing cement manufacturing unit in Ariyalurin in Tamil Nadu. This new unit adds 1.0 Mta cement capacity to the company’s overall installed capacity, bringing it to a total of 45.6 Mta including the subsidiaries. In Tamil Nadu, DBL currently runs two integrated cement plants situated at Dalmiapuram and Ariyalur, along with a grinding unit located in Sattur (photo). With an investment of Rs. 204 crores, this strategic expansion shall strengthen the market presence in the South to meet the growing cement demand in the region. The expansion aligns with the company’s growth strategy aiming at a total installed capacity of 110 -130 Mta by the year 2031.
