India’s JK Cement expands its capacity by 6.0 Mta

India’s JK Cement has 4 projects to expand its cement capacity by 6.0 Mta. After setting-up the Prayagraj grinding unit (we reported 26. June 2024) the company ordered the main machinery for the 3.3 Mta clinker production and 1.0 Mta cement grinding unit in Panna as well as the additional cement grinding plants in Hamipur and Prayagraj with 1.0 Mta, each. Furthermore, the land acquisition for the 3.0 split grinding Unit at Bihar has been made (Photo: Jhajjar split grinding unit). Schedule for commissioning for the plants is December 2025.  JK Cement Ltd has also received the environmental clearance for an integrated 8.0 Mta cement project proposed to come up at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, which will be set-up in a phased manner.
