India’s JK Cement announced the expansion of the Ujjain cement works by 0.5 Mta to 2.0 Mta. The grinding unit is located in Mahakal Ujjain in Madyha Pradesh, close to the Jyotirlinga temple and commenced commercial production in November 2023. The capacity expansion has been achieved through debottlenecking and enhancing grinding efficiency. The company’s overall grey cement production capacity increased to 25.26 Mta (including 1.06 Mta capacity in Fujairah, UAE)
