Nuvoco Vistas Corporation, which is part of the India’s Nirma Group, commissioned the 1.2 Mta Haryana cement grinding plant in Bhiwani, Northern India. The company started into the cement business in 2014 and has become India’s 5th largest cement group with a capacity of 23.8 Mta, after the acquisition of Lafarge India in 2016 and Emami Cement in 2020. Today, Nuvoco has 11 cement plants, comprising five integrated units, five grinding units and one blending unit, in 7 different Indian States. The company is further expanding its capacity and is also investing in green technology such as the solar park (photo) at the Haryana unit.
