InterCement filed for protective injunction in Brazil

Intercement cimento Ijaci Brazil

Brazil’s InterCement Participacoes, together with its unit InterCement Brasil SA, certain subsidiaries and controlling shareholder Mover Participacoes filed for a projective injunction in Brazil. Loma Negra in Argentina is not part of the preliminary injunction, which doesn’t affect InterCement or the affiliates’ obligations to their suppliers, employees, service providers, and business partners. However, InterCement’s arrangement (we reported here May 4, 2024) with Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) with regard to potential acquisition of all of InterCement’s outstanding capital stock expired and has not been renewed.
