NAS (Najmat Al-Samawah) a joint-venture between Pakistani Lucky Cement and the Al Shumookh Company in Dubai fired the second kiln line at the Samawah cement plant in Iraq. The kiln line has a capacity of 6000 tpd and expands the cement capacity of the plant from 1.2 to more than 3.0 Mta, serving the markets in Southern and Central Iraq. The new 1.82 Mta kiln line elevates the consolidated capacity of Lucky Cement to more than 21 Mta across several countries.
