Lafarge France has signed a nuclear production allocation contract (CAPN) with the EDF Group. The contract involves allocating to Lafarge France a share of the capacity from EDF’s operating nuclear fleet (photo: Tricastin Nuclear Power Plant) over more than 10 years, with a cost and risk-sharing mechanism based on the actual volumes produced by this fleet. The contact is part of Lafarge’s decarbonization roadmap, to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations, while maintaining site competitiveness and local presence.
