Cemento Cruz Azul officially began construction of a new 3000 tpd cement plant in Seybaplaya in the Campeche region in southern Mexico (we reported here about the plan 24.08.2024). This will be the company’s 5th cement plant (photo: Lagunas plant). A contact for the plant construction has been awarded to Sinoma, who will supply a smart production line, using the latest AI technology. Projects costs exceed US$ 300m. The new plant will produce 1.0 Mta of cement and shall be operational by 2027.
