The Kebbi State Government and MSM Group have signed a MoU for the construction of a 3.0 Mta cement plant in northwestern Nigeria. The project is valued at US$ 2.4 billion and expected to create 45,000 direct and indirect jobs. The signing ceremony (photo), held in Abuja last week, was attended by officials from the Kebbi State GOVT, the Federal GOVT, and the MSM Group. The MSM Group is a Nigerian business conglomerate which commenced operations in 2011 and operates in several industry sectors such as oil & gas, fertilizers, shipping and agriculture. The project shall be implemented in 4 phases with a timeframe of 2 years.
