PPC Zimbabwe and Sinoma Overseas signed a memorandum to improve the operational efficiency of the existing plants and to expand the capacity of the leading cement manufacturer in the country. PPC operates an integrated cement plant at Colleen Bawn in West Nicholson and two cement grinding units in Bulawayo (photo) and Harare. The scope of work for Sinoma Overseas includes to improve efficiencies and capacities at the existing plants and to assess the feasibility of the construction of a new integrated cement plant in the country, similar to a recent project that has been performed in South Africa.
