Dutch company SCW Systems aims to install a first-of-a-kind plant for the treatment of steel slag waste streams in Sweden, transforming previously underutilized resources into valuable materials. The Steel CleanUp technology that will be installed (photo: pilot plant), uses a closed-loop chemical separation process to upcycle steel slags into high-quality and high-value materials such as calcium, silica, magnesium, and metals. However, up, to now, no timetable for the project has been given.
