A new 6000 tpd cement plant has been started by Andijan WCC Cement in the Andijan region in Uzbekistan. The project has been developed by West China Cement (WCC) in line with China’s ‘Belt and Road’ initiative. The new plant has a capacity of 1.8 Mta clinker and 2.5 Mta cement. The investments costs were US$ 220 m. Plant supplier is Suzhou Sinoma. West China Cement has a cement capacity of 31.8 Mta in China, 2.0 Mta in Mozambique, 1.5 Mta in DR Congo and 1.3 Mta in Ethiopia. The new plant is a 2.5 Mta expansion to Central Asia.
