Dyckerhoff will receive a funding of about € 0.7m for their DYGE – CarbonOUT test unit at the Geseke cement plant (photo) in North Rhine -Westphalia in Germany. The CapsolGo® test facility is provided by Capsol Technologies ASA for the capture of CO2 from the exhaust gas stream. The DYGE CarbonOUT project is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) as part of the Federal Funding for Industry and Climate Protection (BIK) and is one of the first CO₂ capture projects in the cement industry for which a BIK funding commitment has been granted. Dyckerhoff is part of the Buzzi Group, which plans to reduce the CO2 scope1 footprint from 557 kg/t cem. products in 2024 to <500 kg/t by 2030.
