Bright Hydrogen Solutions (BrightHy), announced the signing of a long-term agreement with Çimsa in Spain for the supply and operation of a green hydrogen production facility at Çimsa’s Buñol cement plant. Çimsa, a subsidiary of Sabancı Holding, was founded in 1972 in Türkiye and is one of the world’s foremost brands in white cement, while the Buñol plant is one of the largest white cement production facilities in Europe with a capacity of 750 thousand tons/year and acquired from Cemex in 2021. The project will support the decarbonisation of the clinker production by using the green hydrogen as a fuel, and also by using the oxygen from the electrolysis process.
