HMB Nigeria, which is a takeover of Lafarge Africa PLC by the Huaxin Building Materials Group, plans a massive 5.5 Mta capacity expansion in the near term. At the moment. 4 plants in Mfamosing (photo), Ewekoro, Ashaka and Sagamu with 10.5 Mta cement capacity are operated in Nigeria (we reported here 29.08.2025). Another kiln line is under planning at the Ashaka plant, which will more than double the kiln capacity and expands the plant’s cement capacity to 3.0 Mta. At the Sagamu mortar production plant a 3.5 Mta integrated cement with about 2.5 Mta kiln capacity plant is planned. The two projects will probably be finished in 2027 and 2028.
