Cemex sold its operations in Guatemala to the Holcim Group for a total consideration of about US$ 200m. The divested assets mainly consist of one grinding mill, three ready mix plants and five distribution centres. As of December 31, 2023, the grinding mill had an installed capacity of around 0.6 Mta. In June last year, Holcim announced the acquisition of Minerales y Agregados, a leading producer of advanced mortars and adhesives in Guatemala. Minerales y Agregados represents Holcim’s first production facility in Guatemala.
