A cement plant with a capacity of 2.0 Mta shall be built in Alga in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan. Main Investor is Aktobecem together with an investor from Singapore, who plan to invest 70 billion Tenge of their own funds. The construction of the new plant (illustration) shall begin in 2025. After commissioning, the new plant will cover 80% of cement need in the Aktobe region. At the moment there is only one operational plant in the region with about 0.8 Mta capacity. The regional authority is sure that the implementation of this project will attract additional investment and will contribute to the economic growth of the region.
