In the first half of 2023 the cement production in Germany declined by -14.9%. While in the 1 H. 2022 about 14.919 Mt cement have been produced, in 1.H 2023 this figure declined to 12.769 Mt. If the decline continuous, this will have a substantial impact on the preliminary free EU ETS CO2 allocations.
