ICG Ltd. (International Cement Group) started its new Korcem clinker production line in the Korday district in Kazakhstan. The 3500 tpd plant required an investment of about US$ 153m and has been supplied in a EPC contract by Sinoma (Liyang Heavy Machinery). The plant is strategically located in the neighbouring region of the Alacem cement plant with direct export routes to Kyrgyzstan. With the new plant ICF expanded its current annual cement production capacity by 1.6 Mta to 5.5 Mta capacity.
