Kiln line1 at the Kalavatala plant of Ramco Cements in Kolimigundla, Andhra Pradesh in India, was commissioned in April 2022. In the last quarter the 2.5 Mta clinker and 1.5 Mta cement capacity has been upgraded by 0.65 Mta through pyro process optimisation. Now, The Ramco Cements plans to install a 2nd kiln line and doubling the clinker capacity with a 15 MW WHR-System to 6.3 Mta, while doubling the cement capacity to 3.0 Mta. The project costs are estimated with Rs. 1250 Crores. The expansion is scheduled to be commissioned in FY26 to expand Ramco’s total clinker capacity to 19 Mta and the cement capacity to 26 Mta by FY 26.
