India’s Adani Group will set up the Guna GU in MP

India’s Andani Cement laid the foundation stone for a new 4.0 Mta cement grinding unit (GU) in Guna in Madhya Pradesh (MP). The project shall be installed in 2 phases at a site of 32 ha. In the first phase a 5500 tpd cement grinding mill shall be installed by 2028. The total project costs have been given with more than US$111m, which is the largest investment of Adani in MP to date. Via its subsidiary ACC, Adani operates in MP the integrated Kymore cement plant (photo), which has a clinker manufacturing capacity of 3.6 Mta and a cement grinding capacity of 2.7 Mta. Madhya Pradesh is the second-largest state in India, covering an area of 308,244 sq. km. It has a population of 72 million (6% of India’s population), which makes it an important cement market.
