India’s UltraTech Cement plans to expand their cement capacity in India from 183.4 Mta in FY25 to 197.5 Mta in FY26 and 212.2 Mta by FY27. In this FY with the commissioning of 6 brownfield projects about 3.5 Mta have already been added (photo UltraTech cement plant). Further 5 grinding units with 9.4 cement capacity shall be added. The two largest ones are the greenfield Visakhapatnam cement works with 3.3 Mta in Andhra Pradesh and the greenfield Shahjahanpour cement works in Uttar Pradesh. By FY27 three more grinding units with 9.3 Mta capacity and 2 integrated units with 5.4 Mta will be added, together with in total 5 bulk terminals with 6.4 Mta capacity.
