Kyrgyzstan’s Kant Cement launched new kiln line

Kant Cement, which is part of the United Cement Group (UCG) launched a modern 0.8 Mta kiln line in Kant city, located 20 km east of Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan. The new line (photo: @president.kg) will increase the plant’s capacity from 1.1 Mta, while also replacing two older wet kilns. The plant upgrade was carried out in partnership with China’s Beijing Triumph Engineering and the Eurasian Development Bank, with total investments exceeding US$ 60m. With the plant modernisation UCG consolidates its market presence in Central Asia with 3 large cement plants in Uzbekistan and 1 in Kyrgyzstan.
