Mexico’s Cemento y Concreto Moctezuma released a 2030 roadmap, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions to less than 500 kg /t of cementitious materials. The plan foresees optimizing production processes, reducing the clinker factor and increasing the use of alternative materials. By 2030 about 30% of the fuels shall be replaced with waste-derived fuels including tires (photo). However, the goal can only be achieved, if efficiency is increased at every stage of production.
