PPC’s investment in the new integrated Riebeek cement plant (RK3) in South Africa’s Western Cape, valued over R3bn, is progressing, remains on schedule and within budget. The new 1.5 Mta capacity line shall be finished end of FY 2027 and is built at PPC’s existing facility in Riebeek (photo). The new plant will replace and increase existing capacity and is constructed by Sinoma Overseas (we reported here 16.05.2025). The new plant shall use ‘best-in-class’-technology to reduce production costs, energy consumption and carbon footprint and will also have a fully integrated solar generation system.
