Armenia’s cement imports up +64.75 in 1H 2024

In the first half of 2024, Armenia’s cement imports increased by +64.7% to 0.252 Mt, after 0.153 Mt in the same period last year in 0.073 Mt in the year before.

In the first half of 2024, Azerbaijan’s cement production increased by +13.3% to 1.997 Mt, after 1.762 Mt in the same period last year.

In the first half of 2024, Russia’s cement production increased by +4.8% to 30.013 Mt, after 28.631 Mt in the same period last year. However, in the 2. quarter the increase was only +2.6% YoY.

In the first 5 months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan’s cement production declined -5.7% to 1.014 Mt, after 1.075 Mt in the same period last year.

In the first half of 2024, Kazakhstan’s cement production declined by -5.3% to 5.338 Mt, after 5.636 Mt in the same period last year and 5.913 Mt the year before.

In the first 5 months of 2024, Armenia’s cement imports surged by +64.7% to 0.196 Mt, after 0.119 Mt min the same period in last year and 0.062 Mt the year before.

In the first 5 months of 2024, Azerbaijan’s cement imports declined by -9.5% to 7.6 kt, after 8.4 kt in the same period last year and 12.1 kt in the year before.

In the first 5 months of 2024, Uzbekistan’s cement production by large plants increased +35.6% to 6.226 Mt, after 4.590 Mt in the same period last year.

Since the invasion to the Ukraine, 24th Feb. 2022, Russia’s cement prices (excl. VAT) massively increased to 6225 Rub/t, after 5320 Rub/t in May last year and 3915 Rub/t two previous years ago.

In the first 5 months of 2024, Russia’s cement production increased by a huge +6.9% to 23.199 Mt, after 21.708 Mt in the same period last year and 21.651 in the previous year.
